GOLDEN WEDDING

MR. AND MRS. THOMAS CUTHBERTSON. The golden wedding of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Cuthbertson, of Gonvillc Avenue, was celebrated yesterday, when a family gathering and dinner party followed by a social evening was held in honour of the occasion. Married at Shoreditch Church, London, 50 years ago, they sailed for New Zealand a few weeks later and settled in Dunedin, where they spent two years. From there they went to a farm ten miles north of Oamaru, where they resided until 1907. They took up residence in Wanganui about .12 years ago. Many telegrams of congratulations, floral tokens and two beautiful wedding cakes were received. Mr. and Mrs. Cuthbertson have four surviving children. There are two sons, Mr. T. W. Cuthbertson, of Castlecliff; Mr. R. E. Cuthbertson, of Wanganui; and two daughters, Miss Lena Cuthbertson, of Wanganui, and Mrs. E. Mackay, of Wai mate, South Island.
