OAT CAKES. Ingredients.—On c cup oatmeal, half a cup flour (“Snowball”), half a teaspoon baking soda, half a teaspoon salt, one ounce butter, milk to mix. Method.—Sift soda and flour; add oatmeal and salt. Work in the butter. Mix to a stiff paste with milk. Roll out on a board sprinkled with mtmeal; roll as thin as possible. Cut in squares and place on a cold greased oven tray. Bake in a moderate oven for ten io fifteen minutes.
