TE KAWAU RUGBY SUB-UNION. A meeting of the Management Committe was held on Tuesday night, Mr. H. J. Fagan presiding.. The following delegates were present: Messrs. S. Reeve, J. Hughes, M. Royal, J. Cribb, F. O. Bailey, A. H. Harthy, R. C. Hill,’ A. Castles, T. Goodwin, A. N. Morcom, J. W. Scott, S. Moffat. Correspondence was read and dealt with as follows: From Ohakea Club making application. for regrading of their junior team to third grade. The application was granted. In this connection the secretary stated that other clubs, with the exception of Awahuri, could not field a third grade team. It was resolved that games be arranged between.. Awahuri and Rongotea and that further effort be made to get more teams to take part. From Mr. F. J. Moffatt, stating he had no way to travel to referee games away from home. The secretary stated that so far Mr. Moffatt had been able to take the games set down for him. From Foxton Club asking for information regarding status of M. Renata. —Qualified to play junior. From Manawatu Union stating this season’s rule books not yet to hand. —Received. From Awahuri, Huia, Oroua Downs, Taikoroa and Ohakea Clubs forwarding names of players.—Rciceived. From Sandon, Clydesdale and Kopano schools thanking the Sub-union for the donations of footballs.—Received. It was resolved:— “That games set down for Ohakea juniors be counted as forfeits. “That a seven-a-side tournament be held at Oroua (Downs on Wednesday, June 21. “That no senior fixtures be played on Saturday, June 3, on account of the seven-a-sido tournament at Palmerston North. “That season tickets be issued for the rest of the season at 10s 6d. “That complimentary tickets be sent to Messrs. W. Dawbin (Awahuri), R. Boswill (Kaimatarau), H. Masters (Ohakea), W. Hill (Rangiotu), J. 8. Stratford (Oroua Downs) and J. P. Hehir (Taikoroa).” Mr. R. C. Hill (Taikorea), brought up the matter of a player who had been stood on the line during the playing of the Awahuri v. Taikorea game at Awahuri. The secretary stated that no report had been received from the referee. After a short discussion it was , resolved that the secretary write asking the referee in control for a report on the matter.
