A PLAN TO CONSIDER

T. CURRIE did well to stress the fact, that the plan for rehabilitating the rural industries of New Zealand, put forward by Mr. It. Buckleton. provides a start. It is something concrete in the way of thought. It. can be altered and amended, revised and rejected, but it will still remain a definite starting ground upon which branches of the Farmers’ Union and Chambers of Commerce can build. Mr.. Buckleton made it. clear in his interesting speech, that to initiate thought on the subject was his sole aim in putting forward his plan. This modest objective indeed merits commendation, and the best commendation that can be aceordedi the promoter of the scheme is that the scheme itself shall be the subject -of earnest, constructive thought.
