THE TAIHAPE SALE The New Zealand Farmers’ Co-oper-ative Distributing Co., Ltd., report a yarding of 2700 sheep and 60 cattle at the above fixture on Wednesday. The yarding consisted principally of lambs, with a few pens of wethers and ewes. The majority of the lambs which came forward showed the effects of the cold weather experienced during the last two weeks, and prices generally were somewnat easier than sales held a few weeks previous. However, the bulk of the yarwng was disposed of as follows: Best wether lambs, 7s Id to 8s; medium ditto, 5s
to 6s lOd; small, 3s 3d to 4s 7d; best ewe lambs, to 10s 3d; medium, 7s 9d to 8s Id; small mixed lambs, to 3s lOd; fat lambs, Ils 7d; fat wethers, 12s; forward wethers, to Ils 8d; empty two-tooth ewes, 10s 4d; empty small two-tooth ewes, 7s Id; medium twotooth ewes, r.w. S.D. rams, 12s 3d; forward empty ewes, to 7s 9d; aged ewes r.w. S.D. rams, 6s fid; four and sixtooth ewes, ditto, Ils 6d; winter calvers, £5 15s to £6 2s fid; fat heifers, £2 17s 6d; fat steers, small, £2 12s to £4; 3s-year steers, £3 to £3 9s 9d; weaner dairy heifers, 22s 6d; weaner pigs, 9s 6d to 10s.
