OHAKUNE

W.D.F.U. At the annual meeting of the Ohakune branch of the WJD.F.U. the following officers were elected:—President, Airs. A. H. Read; vice-presidents, Mesdames Gower, Fetzer, and Foster; secretary. Owing to the school being reduced in I status the headmaster of the Horopito School has been transferred to Upokongaro, and a farewell social was tendered Air. and Airs. Clemance by the residents. On behalf of the pupils of the School, Alastcr D. Fowler presented Air. Clemance with a leatherbound volume of Burns, to which was attached the signatures of the pupils. RUAPEHU SUB-UNION. At a meeting of the Management Committee of the Ruapehu Rugby Subunion there was an attendance of 13, Mr. Ingram presiding. The request that T. AlcCann be regraded made by the Raetihi United Club was refused. The Rangataua Football Club asked the Sub-union to approach the Rangatam. Town Board*with a view to having the grandstand repaired. It was decided to give the Horopito School a football when received. The names of some new senior players were received from the Raetihi Club. Air. J. Pettersen, delegate to the K.C.R.U., gave a verbal report on the last meeting of that union. Alessrs. 8. Parrant, Af. Sheerin and F. Palmer were appointed junior selectors. It was decided to suspend all games on Saturday, June 3 (King's birthday).
