ELECTION AT CHRISTCHURCH MISS HOWARD’S NOMINATION [ Per Press Association. 1 CHRISTCHURCH, May 10. A protest against the election of Miss Howard (Labour) to the City Council has been lodged with tho returning officer by the Citizens’ ciation.It is understood that the Citizens’ Association claims that Miss Howard is not an elector of tho city and her nomination was not in order. It is believed that the qualification of Mr. E. J. Howard, M.P., father of Miss Howard, who is certain of election to the Harbour Board, has also been challenged by tho association.

Mr. and Miss Howard both reside outside tho city.
