Young, sayg that in the Press Association report of the statement made by him at Hamilton on Wednesday, referring to applications received from Church organisations for assistance from one of the four thousand pounds’ alluvial gold art unions, he was reported to have said, “tho requests had included an application from several organisations covered by the deputation. ’ ’ Mr. Young .says that he made no such statement, but. what he did say was: “That applications had been received from organisations represented by the denominations covered by the deputation.’ ’
