TO DAY’S RUGBY. Bulls and Halcombe seniors meet on Bulls Domain this afternoon. Although a good deal of rain has fallen during tho past few days the ground is in good order and a fine game is anticipated. The Bulls fifteen will be as follows: Preston, Prichard, Hight, Bromley, Crosland, Pausina, Harper, Gleeson, Simpkinson Pawson, Homes, Fitzgerald, Cutts, Sanson and Cooper. Emergencies:—Lunn and Dwyer. Ohakca seniors meet Rongotea at Rongotea, and Ohakea and Sanson juniors play at Ohakea. Makowhai seniors play Oroua Downs on the latter’s ground. GOLF MATCH. Rangitikei and Foxton Golf Clubs will play a match at Bulls this afternoon. A stroke competition has been arranged for those not playing in the inter-club games. GENERAL NEWS. Schools of this district “broke up” yesterday for the winter vacation. Heavy rain has fallen here this week, but judging by tho high flood in the Rangitikei River the downpour up-coun-try must have been torrential. A ladies’ hockey match between Ohakea and Rongotea, which was arranged to be played at Ohakea to-day, has been postponed until later in the season. PLUNKET SOCIETY. Weather permitting, a Afothers’ Day will be held to-day in Bulls, and all interested in the work of the Plunket Society will be welcome at Clifton Hall this afternoon. Aliss Cook, of Alarton. will attend and deliver an address on the work of the society.
