COMPANIES TO CONFER I Per Press Association. | AUCKLAND. April 26. A development iu the Waikato coalmining situation to-day was a decision to hold a meeting to-morrow of the companies concerned in the dispute whit-h has rendered several collieries idle. The meeting will be held under the auspices of the Northern New Zealand Coal-mine Owners’ Association and invitations to attend have been extended to the Glen Afton, Taupiri, Pukemiro, Renown and Hikurangi companies. Mr T. 0. Bishop, secretary of the New Zealand Coal-mine Owners’ Association, will arrive from Wellington to attend tho meeting. The position on the coalfields is that the Taupiri, Glen Afton, and Renown mines are still idle.
