GENEVA CONFERENCE. Received April 26. 8.5 p.m. LONDON. April 25. The Disarmament Conference reopens at Geneva, when it is probable that a discussion in detail of the first part of tho British draft convention will be begun. Much satisfaction is expressed at Geneva that tho chairman of tho conference, Mr Arthur Henderson, has been awarded the Wateler prize to the value of £2200 by tho directors of the Carnegie Foundation at The Hague. Mr Henderson has been chosen for the energy, persistence, ability an# impartiality with which, from the the beginning of the conference, he has conducted its arduous labours. The Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Captain Anthony Eden, is the chief British delegate at Geneva. He arrived yesterday and the statesmen whom he interviewed included tho principal German delegate, members of the Italian delegation and Mr Henderson. This morning he saw Mr Norman Davis, chief American delegate, who will leave for London in time to attend Saturday’s meeting of the Organising Committee of the World Economic Conference.
