SUICIDE PACT
INDIAN FAMILY’S END Received April 7. 11.25 p.m. CALCUTTA. April 7. What appears to bo a murder and suicide pact was discovered at a sacred hill in Madras. Six bodies were found on a raised mound and a seventh, that of a middle-aged Indian, was hanging from a tree. A letter on this body indicated that the, man was a native of Trichi nopoly. His family was destitute and unhappy and he had decided to kill his wife, two sons, two daughters and a baby before committing suicide. There was evidence that the last moments were spent in a meal and prayer.
