CASTLECLIFF LADIES’ CLUB ANNUAL MEETING HELD. ELECTION OF OFFICERS. The annual general meeting of the Castlecliff Ladies’ Golf Club, held on Tuesday evening, was attended by a large number of enthusiastic members. iho balance-sheet disclosed a very satisfactory state of affairs and members entertain a very’ optimistic outlook for the coming season, A vote of thanks was carried with acclamation to the retiring committee and to Airs. C. J. Wagstaff, who has retired from the office of secretary’, which she has occupied far several years. The following officers were elected: President, Airs. C. Smith; vice-presi-dent, Airs. C. Wagstaff; captain, Mrs. Braid; nee-captain, Aliss AlcNaught; secretary, Aliss Dean; treasurer, M’.sb Brock; committee, Mrs. Dean, Mrs. Bonner. Mrs. J. C. Brown. Afembers are now looking forward to the opening to-morrow, and given a fine day a record crowd should be present. CAPTAIN MATCH Iho active members of the Wanga nui Go]f Club in the various fours are requested to get in touch with the honorary and new members and ascer tain if they arc available for the President v. Captain match. If not. they should advise the secretary so that the vacancies can be filled and the revised draw published to-morrow. The match will be played on the Sunday morning four-ball rules; that is, the weaker pair (if they admit it), will “ wangle” as many strokes or bisques as possible from their opponents.
