When the subject of the non-replace-ment of injured players camo before the Southland Rugby Union at it» weekly meeting there was much strong comment from members, some suggesting that they should “cut adrift” and proceed along the present lines, for club matches al least. It was claimed that the ruling would have an adverse affect and reduce the game to one bordering on professionalism.
