The wool work exhibition to be held in the Parish Hall this afternoon (Wednesday), under the auspices of the Taihape branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union, will be officially opened y Mr. A. Stuart, M.P. for liangitikei, at 2.30 p.m. The exhibition is attracting considerable attention, and promises to be even more •successful than that of last year. Mr. R. Dy mock, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Dymock, of Taihape, has joined the local staff of the Bank of New Zealand. MAJESTIC THEATRE. Picture patrons will bo afforded their last opportunity to-night (Wednesday) of seeing ’ that sparkling comedy entitled “Get-Rich-Quick Wallingford,” with Wm. Haines in the leading role. “The Lash,” an absorbing drama, featuring Richard Barthelmess, will be serened to-morrow (Thursday) and Friday at 8 p.m. The latent power in the personality o* Richard Barthclmess has never been quite so evident as it is in his latest First National starring vehicle, “The Lash.” He is east as a dashing young vaquero, avenger of his people’s wrongs, in those dangerous days following Mexico’s ceding of California to the United States, In the supporting east are Mary Astor, Marian Nixon, Barbara Bedford, James Rennie, Fred Kohler, Ervillo Alderson, Robert Edeson Mathilde Comont and Arthur Stone. The play is an adaptation of the widely read novel of the Bartletts.
