: BRITISH 4 PER CENT. CONSOLS Received June 17, 5.5 p.m. LONDON, June 16. On the Stock Exchange to-day 4 per cent. Consols went over par for the first time since this loan was issued, the quotation being 100 1-16. There is £341,767,000 of this stock in issue. It was first issued at the end of 1926, cash at £75 per cent., and si wo then has been added to by conversion, offers to the Treasury and the main bondholders. I.ate in September the loan changed hands at £77 10s per cent, and the market appreciation in the last nine months has amounted to no less than £76,800.000.
