The foreman reported that there were 100 men working under tho No. 5 scheme on farms throughout the district. He stated he was handicapped on all the works through a shortage of tools. Two horses and two cows were im pounded during the month. Certain premises were a menace to the health of the people, being full of rubbish, and thero was also the danger of fire. The Health Department declined to sanction tho establishment of public baths at the proposed site. Messrs. France and Mahony waited on the council in connection with the matter. It was decided that the de partinent be written to and requested to make a thorough investigation. GENERAL Mr. H.
