BOWLING

DOMINION FACTORY GREEN WEEK-END PLAY. Saturday morning’s rain made the green a bit on the heavy side for play at the Dominion Factory bowling green, but some pleasant and keen games resulted. The following were the results:— McLean, Beard, Buchan 21 v. Upton, Harle Collingwood 22. Benefield, Kirk, Williams 23 v. Glover, Baxter, Rush 24. Williamson, J. Stewart, Glover 28 v. Baxter, Baxter, Kirk 21. Laurie, Beard, McLean 19 v. Colling wood, M. Stewart, Rush 22. A number of games were played during the week and soino exciting finishes were seen. One in particular was where a well-known three wanted eight to win on the last head, which he duly landed.
