HUSBANDS NOT TO BENEFIT In the will of General Sir Richard Harrison it is stipulated that certain bequests made to his daughters shall be solely for their personal use “and not subject to the debts or control of any husband with whom they shall marry. General Harrison, whoso estate has been valued at £47,172, directed that proceeds from the sale of his farm implements and stock, together with £5OO for her immediate use, should go to his wife. Other bequests include gifts to his staff, to Guy’s Hospital, and the Gordon Boys’ Home, Bagshot. General Harrison, who died at Brixham, Devonshire, in Sep ember, served at the Crimea and in4he Indian Mutiny.
