ANNOYING HOLD-UP
AUSTRALIAN PASSENGER SHIP SEAMEN’S UNION DISPUTE Received Oct. 13, 9.10 p.m. SYDNEY, Oct. 13. A dispute with the Seamen’s Union caused a hold-up of the interstate steamer Canberra, scheduled to sail for Melbourne to-day with 1000 passengers, many of whom were race visitors. The vessel also carried prominent racehorses, Veilmond, Penthcus and Carry On and G. Price’s team. The union claims that a member of crew has been victimised.
