REBUKE AT A WEDDING
‘‘l must remind you that this is the House of God—not a cinema,” was the rebuke administered by the Rev. Goronwy Gower, vicar of St. James’, Pontypool, Wales, to a crowd which thronged the church to see a wedding a few weeks ago. When the bride—Miss Violet Hughes, who has won many beauty prizes—entered the church there was a buzz of conversation, and a number of persons at the back clambered on to seats or climbed on to the shoulders of those in front to secure a better view.
