The taxi-eab companies of New York are feeling the pinch of hard times so keenly that they have ha dto evolve new and novel methods of attracting custom. / One company has notices posted in n all its cabs suggesting that customers ask the driver for a "‘lucky card.” All these cards are numbered and carry a chance in a raffle for a free trip to | Europe
Even if onedoesnot win such a prize he may console himself by taking another taxi-eab and listenin- on the wireless set installed in the cab.
