WILFUL DAMAGE ALLEGED [ Per Press Association. ] CHRISTCHURCH, Aug. 19. The Supreme r urt to-day heard a charge against Arthur Lancelot Cyril '» atkins, of wilfully damaging a motor truck, the property of the Colonial Motor Company, at New Brighton, on April 19. The Crown alleged that accused, accompanied by another man and two women, had a collision at night with another vehicle. The occupants of the truck were not seriously hurt. After being treated at the hospital they returned to the truck. Evidence would be called to show that accused, after remarking that it would bo “just as well to make a job of it,” went to tho truck iid se‘ it alight. Other person! saw’ tho flames and put these out. The damage was £5O.
