GISBORNB SESSIONS (Per Press Association.l GISBORNE, Aug. 19. In sentencing William Alexander Johnston, found guilty after a re-trial for criminal assault, Mr Justice Reid sai<l that he saw no reason to change the sentence imposed by Mr Justice Blair, three years’ reformative detention. Other sentences wore: Malcolm Ross Kell, for false pretences, burglary and theft, two years’ Borstal detention; Wirenia Karapi, for burglary, 12 months’ reformative detention.
