USE MORE WOOL
JHE exhibition organised by that energetic body, the Women’s
Division of the Farmers’ Union, and held yesterday, was a remarkable success, all things considered. As a feat of organisation it deserved high praise; as a piece of propaganda it was excellent. The population of the Dominion is too small to have much effect upon the consumption of the wool elip which is produced within the Dominion, but that should not be a deterrent to the holding of “Use More Wool” expositions. Ideas which are first tried out within the Dominion and which prove to be successful, can be handed on to the High Commissioner’s Office in London, for propaganda work there. For this end alone, namely, the finding out of good propaganda methods, the branches of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union should be encouraged to continue in well doing. The encouragement given by Mr T. Currie to the movement was wellmerited. and it is to be hoped th at other provincial presidents of the Farmers’ Union will be equally encouraging as Mr Currie is to the Wanganui branch.
