Licensing Poll
POSTPONEMENT THIS YEAR ALLIANCE RECOMMENDATION [Per Press Association. 1 WELLINGTON, Aug. 14. At a meeting of tho standing com mittee of the New Zealand Alliance the following recommendation was adopt cd: “That this meeting resolves that if the Government, considering it in the best interests of the country, proposes to postpone the licensing poll, no opposition will be offered to the proposal as regards the poll due this year, pro vidcd the principle of a triennial poll is left untouched.”
