GRIM DISCOVERY

TWELVE-YEAR-OLD TRAGEDY BODIES PRESERVED IN ICE. VIENNA, Aug. 10 A twelve-year-old tragedy was revealed in the Tyrolese Alps when two bodies were found in a perfect state of preservation in glacier ice and identified as those of Professor Koban and Herr Anlauf, who were climbing the Alps in 1919 and were overtaken by s storm. At night time they settled down to play cards by candle light in an endeavour to overcome the deadly snow sleep, but evidently they failed for the stump of a candle was found with the bodies and two unfinished hands of cards, all beneath a transparent sheet of ice.
