THREE MONTHS’ GAOL [ Per Press Association. ] NELSON, Aug. 10. Richard Rawson, taxi-driver, who staged a sham assault and robbery in an endeavour to conceal the theft of Ins employer’s money, was sentenced to three months’ gaol for theft. The Magistrate said that it would be vicious front the point of view of the public policy to grant probation in such a case of chicanery.
