ELEVEN LIVES LOST CRASHES IN AMERICA NEW YORK, Aug. 9. Week-end air crashes took a toll of eleven li- es in the United States. Four passengers and two pilots were killed at Cincinnati (Ohio) when a trimotored air liner crashed from a 300 feet altitude after one motor failed. Four men were burned to death at Lynchburg (Virginia) when a cabin monoplane hit trees in landing. At Westchester (Pennsylvania) a youth, while taking his first flight, was killed, and the pilot was critically injured when the ’plane plunged with a dead motor from 20C feet.
