TRAINEE MISSES SHIP CHILEAN SAILOR FORGETS. PLEASANT TIME IN SYDNEY. AUCKLAND, Aug. 10. Through missing his ship in Sydney, a young Chilean naval trainee, Miguel Munoz, had to bo sent on to Auckland by the Sonoma, which arrived from Sydney on Saturday. He rejoined his ship, the General Baquedano, on its arrival from Sydney today. The young sailor, who cannot speak English, explained through an interpreter that ho made some friends during the ship’s stay in Sydney and had sucli a pleasant time at their homo that ho forgot the sailing time of his ship. When ho looked for her she was gone. Ho immediately went to the Chilean Consul who sent him on to Auckland by the Sonoma.
