mb mcgovern fined LONDON, Aug. 4. Mr McGovern, the Labour back- ; the House of Commons, who was recently ejected, and who has taken part in speech-making on Glasgow Green, together with eight others, was fined £3 in default twenty days’ imprisonment. McGovern exclaimed from the dock; “I don’t want time to pay. I will go to prison.” But. as McGovern’s counsel had asked that time be given, the j magistrate ordered that ten days be al- ! lowed in which to pay. i McGovern declares his intention of h trsisting in his free-speech campaign.
