WENTWORTH INUNDATED EVACUATION OF HOSPITAL SYDNEY, Aug. 5. With the hospital, picture theatre and dwellings in Wentworth at the junction of the Darling and Murray ■ Rivers protected by embankments [holding back several feet of water, the I town resembles a series of islands in a vast expanse of flood waters. The hospital is in great danger and it has been decided to abandon it and remove the patients to Mildura. Residents have worked continuously for five days I and nights building levees to keep the rivers back. Many families are sheltering in the gaol. The waters are still rising.
