PLOTTERS IN IRELAND
LARGE MUNITION DUMP DISCOVERY NEAR DUBLIN STRONGHOLD IN MOUNTAINS By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright.l LONDON, June 11. ' The Daily Telegraph Dublin correspondent reports that Civil Guards raidid Republican headquarters in the ro-t-esses of Dublin mountains. In addition to documents revealing a. militant treasonable organisation, the guards found 100,000 rounds of ammunition, a number of Lewis guns, rifles and automatic pistols. The whole dump was guarded by a trap mine which would be exploded by the slightest touch. The entrance to the stronghold was concealed by climbing plants. It included a 20ft. square chamber of concrete, where there were stores of food, alsu the stolen head of King William’.-: statue once on College Green, Dublin, which was destroyed by explosives some years ago. A large quantity of high explosives near the dump was destroyed before the Civil Guards were able to enter the stronghold. The explosion was heard in Dublin, seven miles away. Detectives have been seeking for the dump for months, believing that a conspiracy is afoot, to upset the State by force, as the Minister of Justice recently told the Dail Eireann.
