General situation.—A .small cyclone has developed over southern New Zealand in front uf a rather deep depression covering the Tasman Sea. Forecast.— Winds: Variable, but moderate to strong northerly to westerly prevailing and freshening. Seas (N.Z. waters): .Moderate generally. but rising later on the West Coast. Easter Tasman Sea: Strong north to west winds prevailing with rather rough tu rough seas. Weather: Dull, misty or foggy with fairly general rain, heavy in places- Snow on hig-i • <’*s in the South Island.
