FOUR TAXI-DRIVERS
THEFTS FROM CARS I Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, June J2. Staled all to be members of the Daimond 'Taxi Company. o f which Melville was manager, four taxi drivers, Albert Ray Joslin, aged 23. Clarence Campbell Melville, aged 22, and Cecil Williauf Elliott, aged 33, were before the Magistrite’s Court to-day on charges relating to theft, ami some cases of receiving tyres and spare wheels removed at night from cars parked in the city and suburbs. Albert Joslin, who admitted seven charges of theft, was sentenced tu | three months’ gaol, and each of the others was fined £l5, in default two months’ gaol. An order was made against Clarence Jos!in tu refund £4, the value of one unrecovered wheel, the only part oi ihe property nut recovered. |
