WHENUAROA SHIELD WAINUI-A-RUA AND RANGITIKEI No finality has yet been reached in connection with the Whenuaroa Shield match between Wainui-a-rua and Rangitikei, writes the up-river correspondent of the “Chronicle.” Tho statement that the match would take place on June 16 was premature. The Wainui-a-rua Union, holders of the troph^ r , submitted to the Raugitikei Union two dates, June 16 and June 18, on which the match could be held at the challengers’ option. Up to Thursday no word had been received from the Rangitikei Union as to which date would be acceptable, but it is expected that the mafeh will take place next week. UNIVERSITY TOURISTS N.Z.
