AUSTRALIA AND THE OLYMPIC GAMES. GRATIFYING RESULTS. A scheme of couching for games aspirants, successfully submitted at a meeting on .May 7, of tho New Soutii Wales Olympic Council by the secre-tary-treasurer (Mr J. C. Allison), has already yielded gratifying results. State and great public schools spri.it champions, T. E. Hampson, of Western Suburbs, and Reg. Ashbarry, have both resolved to place themselves under the supervision of W. W. Hunt., Australian sprint representative at the Antwerp Games in 1920. During the forthcoming season Botany Harriers will not permit its members to enter for a variety of events, but will induce them to specialise under efficient coaching. A proposal that a provisional Australian Gaines team should be chosen was found to have been rather impracticable at the moment.
