POWER-BOAT SPEED

KAYE DON ON LAKE GARDA Received Alay 17, 5.40 p.m. ROME, May 16. At Gardonc, in the presence of D’Annunzio, Kaye Don sped across Lake Garda at 100 miles an hoar, easily beating the 80 attained by the Italian competitor, Count Rossi, and winning the first heat of the race for D’Annunzio’s trophy. The latter danced with joy and blew kisses at Kaye Don, who will probably attack the record on June 17, allowing D.Annunzio to accompany him.

Don must yet circuit the course twice. His attempt at the record has been postponed owing to the necessity for repairing Miss England 11.
