GOLF DANCE. A most enjoyable dance under the auspices of the Taihapc Golf Club was held in the Town Hall on Friday evening. The hall was tastefully decorated with, variegated butler muslin streamers and strings of coloured lights. The music was supplied by the Tui Orchestra, while the following acted as M.C.’s: Messrs L. C. Trigg, A. James, T. C. Kincaid, J. P. Mortland and A. C. Joblin. An excellent supper was provided by the ladies of the club. The committee responsible for the organisation. of the dance consisted of Mosdames A. James, D. Neagle, A. F. McKenzie, S. E. Addis, E. M. Forsyth, Messrs A. James. T. C. Kincaid, J. P. Mortland, L. C. Trigg and A. C. Joblin (secretary). GENERAL NEWS. R. Hen rich s beat J. Bradley 6—4, 2 —6. 6—4 in the final oC the men’s single championship of lhe Taihapc Tennis Club. Bradley has held the title for tho past two years. The question of revising the wages and salaries of borough employees will bo discussed at. lhe monthly meeting of tho Taihapc Borough Council ou Friday evening. ' The death has occurred of Mr Joseph I Haley, of Ohotu. ngod 71 years.
