WAIROA RAILWAY
RECONDITIONING WORK [ Per Press Association.] NAPIER, Alarch 20. Wokp is proceeding on the reconditioning of the East Coast raiway, one task being the finishing of two unfinished viaducts. A total of 428 men arc engaged and it is anticipated that the railway to Wairoa wil Ibe finished in two years, the time previously fixed. Napier is singularly free of epidemic disease such as was at first feared might, break out. Dr. Ritchie (health officer) says that all precautions arc still being maintained.
