Neglected Million
HUGE FORTUNE UNCLAIMED LEFT IDLE FOR 35 YEARS Received Alarch 20, 9.10 p.m. PARIS, Alarch 19. How a fortune of over £1,000,000 was neglected for 35 years while the heir made up his mind to consult hi> lawyers, was disclosed in the case of Monsieur Charles, a retired shipowner who is a great-nephew of General Hoche, the revolutionary leader. He learnt that his aunt, Aladame Eesantos, died in 1895 in Brazil. He knew she was the widow of a wealthy planter and he was the sole heir, but being possessed of sufficient to live modestly ho did not prosecute the claim. He has now been notified that a £1,250,000 estate is awaiting his disposal, so he has instructed a Brazil ian lawyer to take the necessary steps. In the meantime M. Charles goes on with his hobby, which is the scientific study of oysters and their artificial fertilisation.
