FLIGHT OF CAPITAL
AUSTRALIAN INVESTIGATION. Received March 10, 1 a.m. CANBERRA, March 9. It is reported that the Federal Commissioner of Taxation is beginning an investigation into the flight of capital from Australia. The investigation will include the purchase of New Zealand shares and bonds by sharebrokers on behalf of clients travelling in America who realise upon them in the Dominion. In this way people who have been unable to get accommodation from the banks beyond £2OO, have been able to replenish their funds.
