ASHES FOR HILL 60

WISH NEVER TO BE BURIED Ln St. Gregory’s Church. Small Heath, Birmingham, lies a casket containing the remains of Mr Percy George Arnold, a Birmingham man. who died in Chelmsford Hospital. The casket was awaiting the recovery from illness of the widow so that she might take it to Hill 60, in France, and there scatter its contents. By so doing she fulfils the wish of her husband never to be buried. Mr Arnold served during the war in France, and took part in fighting around Hill 60. For that reason the hill was chosen as his last resting place.
