EVANS AND CHAMPIONSHIPS QUESTION OF ELIGIBILITY That an effort should be made to send Don Evans, who has some outstanding times to his credit, to the next English Championships, was a suggestion that came before the WanganuiTaranaki Amateur Athletic Centre at the meeting last evening. Mr F. C- Atkinson t.-.ought it an excellent suggestion.

Mr W. Mitchell asked whether Evans would be eligible to compete, in view of the fact that he was not eligible to compete at the Empire Games. He suggested that action should be taken throngs the New Zealand Council to ascertain the position from England. The meeting decided to follow Mr Mitchell’s suggestion-
