BOY ELECTROCUTED
TOUCHED POWER POLE STAY [ Per Press Association. ] WELLINGTON, Nov. 1. The adjourned inquest concerning th< death of Thomas David Allansen, aged 14, who was killed by touching a power pole stay wire on September 27, was concluded to-day. Dr. Dudley, recalled said he had not ordered a postmortem because he was satisfied from the boy’s condition and history of the case that death was due to electrocution. Power Board officers gave evidence regarding the condition and position of wires, deprecating the possibility of any contract between cither high or low voltage. Tho Coroner (Mr J. S. Barton, S.M.) said he had no doubt from the medical evidence and that, of two women who saw’ the occurrence, saw a flash on tho were, heard the boy scream and saw him fall that death was duo to electrocution. He returned a verdict aceordingly, and said he did not proposo to add any rider for it seemed that any possible lessons had been learned anc would be hooded.
