Suicide Attempted

WOMAN HIRES AEROPLANE PILOT ADMINISTERS K.O. [By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright] Received Nov. 2, 8.10 p.m. SYDNEY, Nov. 2. A married woman hired an aeroplane at Masccot aerodrome for a short pleasure flight. The machine reached an altitude of 1000 feet when the woman attempted to jump out. The pilot struggled with her for a few minutes and finally decided that the only safe course was to hit her on the chin with a knockout blow, which was most successful. He then descended and handed her over to the ambulance. The woman told the police that she was separated from her husband and wanted to commit suicide.
