HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY

THE SPRING SHOW Record entries have been received in connection with the forthcoming Wanganui Spring Show, which is to bo held in the Old Museum Buildings, Drew’s Avenue, to-morrow, Friday, September 26, and it is satisfactory to note that growers from districts outside Wanganui have signified their intention of being represented at the show. The arrival of spring has brought with it a corresponding wealth of spring blooms, foliage and growth of every description. It is certain that a horticultural display of outstanding merit will reward the patronage of thzse who intend to visit the show. Lady friends arc kindly osked to bring gifts of food for the afternoon tea stall, or ring the secretary, Mr V. B. Willis, for callers to collect same. The secretary has received instructions to extend the tiAe for receiving entries until 12 o’clock (noon) to-day.
