DRUIDS’ LODGE

BISHOP LODDGE U.A.O.D. The fortnightly meeting was hold on Monday, September 22. There was a good attendance. Usual routine business was transacted. A motion condolence to Bro. Ben. Sharlow and family, in the loss sustained by the death of his late son, who died at Wellington last week, was carried in silence, followed by the hymn “Abide With Me.’’ Bards reported on sick brothers. Ono new member was initiated into the mysteries of the Order. Arch Druid Bro. W. Hall reported that the Lodge was successful in winning the Ritual Competition, points being 288 j (Bishop), 282| (Aramoho), 281 (Gonville), P.A. Bro. Gurney said that a good number of brothers and sitsers journeyed to Marton and attended that Lodge’s thirtyeighth anniversary and had had a very enjoyable time. An invitation was received fro mthe Makino Lodge, Feilding to a social evening on October 7. The annual football match with Palmerston North will take place on the racecourse on Saturday next, 27inst. The following will represent Wanganui Druids: Bullock. Copley, Gowan, Waters, Cleveland, Williams, Skelsey (2), Wakeling (2), Delves, Stuart, Charles, Holly, Mailman, Burke, Godden Cox, Redit and Lints. The game starts at 3 p.m. Mr R. C. Hamilton will be the referee.
