DEATH AFTER SEIZURE

FAT-INSPECTOR OF SCHOOLS L Per Press Association. ] DUNEDIN, Sept. 14. Following on a seizure yesterday afternoon, Mr T. R. Fleming, late Chief Inspector of Schools in the Otago district, died to-day shortly before midday. Born at Glasgow in 1863 Mr Fleming came to New Zealand in 1868. He studied for law and after taking his LL.B degree practised in Wellington. He was appointed second inspector of schools in Wellington in 1890, Chief Inspector in 1901, and became senior inspector under the Education Depart* ment in 1915. Transferred to Otago in 1917 as Chief Inspector under the Otago Board he served until his retirement in 1926.
