MISSING LAUNCH FOUND
THE VALUE OF WIRELESS [ Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, June 23. After hearing the broadcast announcement from station 2YA that a launch had been stolen from Island Bay, Wellington, residents of d’Urville Island, who were listening in- reported to the postmaster at french Pass that a launch answering to the description of the wireless message had been seen sheltering in Grcvillc Harbour, d’Urville Island- The police were communicated with and Constable Hardy set off from Havelock in a fast launch, arriving at Grcvillc Harbour at 11 o’clock on Sunday morning. The launch turned out to be the missing Sicilia, which was removed from her moorings at Island Bay last ThursdayThe man in charge of the boat was arrested and Constable Hardy piloted the launch to Nelson. The launch which belongs to Guiscppe Lanacchia a fisherman, is valued at £l2OO.
